first_imgNews Paramedic attacked in Derry By News Highland – September 18, 2011 Man arrested on suspicion of drugs and criminal property offences in Derry Twitter Pinterest 365 additional cases of Covid-19 in Republic WhatsApp Pinterest A paramedic has been assaulted by a man he was trying to give medical assistance to in Derry.The attack happened while the paramedic, along with a colleague, was responding to a call in Bank Place in Derry at around 1 o clock this morning.The patient struck out at one of the medics then chased after him for a short distance.The man fell over during the chase, as police arrived at the scene.A PSNI spokesperson said a 25 year-old man was arrested and later released on bail pending further enquiries.
