first_imgSign up for our COVID-19 newsletter to stay up-to-date on the latest coronavirus news throughout New York A New York City bus driver was arrested for allegedly driving the public bus in Westbury while drunk over the weekend, New York State police said.Troopers responding to calls of a city bus being driven erratically eastbound on the Northern State Parkway stopped the driver just east of exit 32 for Post Avenue and found the man behind the wheel, Alexander Copeland, to be under the influence of alcohol at 2:22 p.m. Sunday, police said.The 52-year-old Medford man failed sobriety tests, smelled of alcoholic beverages and had a blood alcohol content of 0.20 percent, more than double the legal limit, police said.Copeland was charged with reckless endangerment, unauthorized use of a vehicle without owners consent, driving while intoxicated and traffic violations. He will be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead.last_img
