Acer Liquid Gallant launch next month


first_imgAcer is all set to launch two new smartphones, Liquid Gallant and Liquid Gallant Duo, across the world next month. The Taiwanese company will make the announcement during IFA 2012, scheduled for August 31, 2012. Acer reportedly made this announced almost a week before the new products were due to be unveiled in Berlin at consumer electronics fair IFA (August 31- September 5). The release of the Liquid Gallant Solo (single sim) and the Liquid Duo (dual sim) terminals was announced on August 21.According to reports, Acer Liquid is an Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) with a 4.3-inch qHD touchscreen. It reportedly boasts of having a 1GHz processor coupled with 1GB RAM, a 5MP camera on the back, 4GB internal memory and supports microSD card with up to 32GB capacity and is powered by a 1,500mAh battery. The device also has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0 with EDR and 3G with HSPA.The two new devices boast of having the same specs, apart from dual or single sim capacity. Besides, the smartphones will reportedly sport an enhanced surround sound system and come pre-loaded with a SWYPE keypad.Acer is expected to add its own customisations to the Google’s operating system before the official launch. It is expected that the phone will come with Swype keyboard and Polris document viewer. The smartphone is likely to be launched in Gentle Black and Ceramic White colours.Acer’s products include desktop and laptop PCs, tablet computers , servers, storage devices, displays, smartphones and peripherals.
