(Photo by Michael Reaves/Getty Images)Kyler Murray appears to be choosing football, as the former star Oklahoma quarterback declared for the 2019 NFL Draft on Monday. This doesn’t mean that Murray is locked into football – he can still report to Oakland A’s spring training – but ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the quarterback has told the MLB his heart is set on the NFL.Murray, the 2018 Heisman Trophy winner, is expected to be a high draft pick this spring. The main question for Murray, of course, is his height. Can a player of his stature succeed in the NFL?Many aren’t sure about that. There are some who think Murray is probably a couple of inches shorter than his listed height, too.“Murray is probably actually 5-foot-8, not 5-foot-10” has been a popular theory among some Twitter users.Oklahoma addressed those theories on Monday.“Keep hearing TV talking heads question the 5-10 height at which we list Kyler. Have heard a couple even say they think he’s more like 5-8. Before the season, our strength staff measured him at 5-9 7/8 in socks,” Oklahoma’s Mike Houck tweeted.Keep hearing TV talking heads question the 5-10 height at which we list Kyler.
